Action4Bullying

We thought it was important to update you on how your money is being spent and the impact it has had. The funding you kindly offered us, along with other funding we have received has enabled us to continue the essential work we do supporting young people effected by bullying.  So far with the help of your funding we have been able to run 6 months of successful youth club session’s twice a week as well as exciting holiday programs over October half term, Feb half term, and Easter. The amount of young people benefitting from our work is growing all the time. When we came up with the idea behind our project we knew there was a need for the type of work we were setting out to do, however we have been quite overwhelmed by how much of an impact bullying is having on so many young people live. We have worked with young people who can’t even attend school because the bullying is that bad, as well as young people whose mental health has been significantly affected, in one case leading to a nervous breakdown at the age of 12 years old. The good news is the impact our project is now having on young people like this. We have seen massive confidence increases in the young people we work with, friendships blossoming amongst young people that would never usually socialise.

Without the funding you offered our project the project simply wouldn’t have got this far. In April we are due to mark our 1st Birthday which is a massive achievement for our project especially in a climate where getting a business or project off the ground is extremely difficult, let alone sustaining it long term.

Some feedback we have received from some parents with children on the project has included: “I have never seen someone offer such intensive support in such a well organised manner, the work they do is invaluable” – Maxine (Parent Of Twins On Our Project). Also Vicky – a parent of 4 children on our project explained “my kids love going to the youth club they never stop talking about it, John & David do an amazing job”

We have attached some photos showing the impact of the work we do:
